Almotamar.net - The Executive Council of the Yemeni Writers Union YWU has on Sunday announced its condemnation and denunciation of the secessionist calls and any practices offending the unity and democracy.

In its closing abatement of its 3-day extraordinary session held in Sana’a the YWU called on the state and all partied of the political life to resort to logic and reason and open dialogue with civil society organisations, public opinion organisations and political parties springing from the keenness on the future of Yemen and its stability in the way guaranteeing dignity of the citizen and his right to honourable life and equal citizenship.

The statement pointed out that the YWU has followed up the developments at both national and international arenas particularly the those dangers threatening the country , beginning from the economic difficulties due to impact of the world economic crisis , security flaws and resorting to violence in addition to the growth of piracy that threatens Yemen and its neighbours.

YWU’s Council has come out with a vision of the recent events in the country and the ways of contributing in their solution. It has set up a committee for following up the events taking place in a number of Yemen areas. The committee is to be in continuous meeting to follow up the national issues and draw up cultural solutions and treatments hat would help stabilizing social peace and preserve the gains. The Unions vision also contained that all should realize the danger the current situations and what is happening in some of the southern and eastern governorates and keenness on the sound tackling and democracy and patriotism in addition to beginning a of a sincere dialogue with different political parties , including all opposition parties and civil society organisations as well as the active and good forces in the homeland and to explain facts to t o the people who pay the price of any seditions or insurgencies. It said the problems cannot be solved by force or violence but by return to the core and spirit of the unity of 22 May 1990, the commitment to its constitution, historical and civilization necessity in the life of the people as there is no backing off from this great accomplishment in the Arab political life overshadowed with challenges.
