Almotamar.net - Police and popular committees confiscated explosive materials in al-Jiraf district north of the capital Sanaa, a security official said on Saturday.

The explosives were in ten sacks placed inside cartons when the security and popular committees found them during a search at a security checkpoint at the weekend.

The police arrested the owners of those explosives, referring them to the public prosecution for completing law procedures.

The police and popular committees urged all citizens to cooperate in reporting any suspicious movements, suspected elements or illegal objects to preserve security, stability and public tranquility.
