He said the falling rocks hit one of the caves situated at the foot of Nuqom mountain caused friction of ammunition and explosions without causing any casualties according to first information.


The source said a committee was formed from the defence ministry and concerned sides to investigate into the causes of the incident in which no human losses have been reported.

It is worth mentioning that the caves of Nuqom Mountain are used for stockpiling weapons for many years.

Yemen in general and the capital is presently witnessing heavy rainfalls and rain water infiltration into the mountains causes the slide of rocks as a result of sweeping earth holding rocks.
