almotamar.net - Member of the Supreme National Anti-Corruption Authority (SNACA) Yassin Abdeh Saeed said Monday four Yemeni cabinet ministers have submitted statements on their property in accordance with provisions of the law on financial possession.

He elaborated that the four ministers were Dr Yahya al-Shuaibi, the state minister, Mayor of the capital, Dr Rashad al-Rasas, minister of legal affairs, Dr Mansour al-Haushabi, minister of agriculture and Khalid al-Wazeer, the minister of transport.

Al-Mithaq weekly quoted in its Monday issue the member of the SNACA as expecting the rest of ministers would meet their obligations regarding the law in the few coming days, indicating that the memorandum referred to the cabinet in this regard at late days of Ramadan fasting month and that did not give the rest of ministers time to send their statements on their property in implementation of the law provisions.

Yassin has further said that was the first step in the work of the SNACA and the nest step would be that the ministers send statements of those officials in their ministries included in the law, affirming they have found big response by the cabinet especially the ministry of defence that showed a positive interaction with the law.

The law stipulates that those included by its provisions to present statements on their properties before their assumption of their posts so that the SNACA would be able to hold them accountable after that for any funds or properties acquired during their work in their posts in an illegal way.
