That came during president Saleh meeting in Madrid Tuesday with King Juan Carlos of Spain. President Saleh and King Carlos discussed ways of bolstering bilateral relations and cooperation at various political, economic, investment, security, cultural, technical and others in the framework of boosting the existing partnership between the two countries.

The two leaders meeting also discussed ongoing developments in the region, particularly those in Palestine, Iraq, Somalia in addition to international efforts in the area of combating terror.

During the meeting Yemen's president welcomed Spanish investments in Yemen, affirming that they would receive all the care and encouragement and affirmed Yemen's keenness on enhancement of its relations with Spain in all fields.

The president also asked the King of Spain to arrange the release of the Arab journalist Tayseer Alouni, Al-Jazeera TV Channel correspondent and to drop the remaining period of the sentence against him by one of the3 Spanish courts. The president pointed out that would boost the positive image of Spain in the Arab world and serve the Arab Spanish relations.
