Almotamar.net - Yemen's Vice-President Abid Rabeh Mansour Hadi on Saturday called on chambers of commerce and industry in Yemen to contest for leading development and investment and providing an environment of security and stability for investors. He considered the tourist and estate investment conference scheduled to be held in Mukalla by the end of this week as a reply to what happened to the Belgian tourists at the hands of persons who are not affiliated to Islam and not to Yemen.

Those remarks came during the Vice-President's meeting today with leadership of Hadramout Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the preparatory committee for the conference and a number of businessmen. The Hadramout Chamber of Commerce and Industry presented an account on the preparation for the conference to be held in Mukalla on 26-27 of this month.

On his part the chairman of Hadramout Chamber of Commerce and Industry said his chamber is watching the first initiative of the private sector for adopting its role as a commercial chamber in development and improvement of investment environment and encouragement of investment in various areas in Yemen that possesses large number of investment opportunities.
