Almotamar.net - Parliamentary committee entrusted with studying amendments on the election law held Sunday a meeting at the parliament boycotted by members of parliament representing the Joint Meeting Parties (JMP). The meting was wrapped up today with asking a sub-committee to prepare the final report on amendments of the law which include setting up the supreme commission for elections from judges.

Chairman of the parliamentary committee MP Mohammed Bin Naji al-Shaef told almotamar.net, "We at the committee tried taking into account the political parties reaching a kind of accord concerning the amendments out of keenness on engaging partisan blocs in realizing a new democratic achievement in Yemen but we have found that some insist on staying in another square."

Al-Shaef added, "We were surprised with the JMP MPs boycotting the meeting," confirming that coordination democracy the opposition parties are trying to impose is suitable for societies of multi religions, sects or ethnics. In Yemen, the MP al-Shaef added the society entertains a unified culture , calling on the opposition to realise this fact and shoulder the responsibility of results of the people's will that singled out minority and majority that has the right to exercise the authorization given to it by the constitution and the operative laws.

It is expected that the sub-committee would begin its work to finish the report in the next two days.
