In the investigation session held Saturday in the precedence of the French Consul in Sana�a and translators the accused French Eva Albert said he got the pieces as a gift from a Yemeni citizen and he was intending to take them with him to Paris. In his reply to questions by the prosecution he said he was aware that he would be arrested in Paris in case he managed to smuggle them and he considered the operation of smuggling as an adventure.

The antiquities seized in possession of the French oil expert were including 8 bronze statues, six stone statues and a head of a statue.

The antiques also included 15 pieces of old metal coins with writings on them in Musnad calligraphy plus a crown of a Yemeni king in addition to three stone seals belonging to a Yemeni ancient state.

It is decided that the accused will stand trial this week.
