Almotamar.net - Participants in the General People's Congress (GPC) media meeting, organised by Information sector of the GPC, called Tuesday for enhancement of democratic, constitutional, legal and professional l practices in Yemen. They said the aim is to stabilize professional and ethical values the serious work for the development of the press and publications in the way coping with developments and development of relations among communication process.

A press release issued by the consultative meeting Tuesday morning patronized by president Ali Abdullah Saaleh and attended by 500 journalists working for the GPC media institutions, and journalists of the National Democratic Alliance as well as those working for private newspapers, stressed on sticking to spirit of the profession and responsible freedom in the journalistic work, demanding colleagues of the profession for the necessity of keeping away from the tensed address.

The participants in the meeting also expressed their looking forward to better future for the GPC and partisan press in accordance with the constitution and the law that defined the duties and responsibilities. They have called on all media tools and private sector and partisan newspapers to confront seriously and reasonably the tensed media political address of the Joint Meeting Parties as this is a sacred religious and national duty.
