Almotamar.net - Aden, Yemen-The Syrian president Bashar al-Assad made Saturday afternoon a tour of the seaport city of Aden, visiting the gate of the city and the historical site of water cisterns and received the key of the city from the governor of the Aden Ahmed al-Kuhlani.
Sources in Aden told almotamar.net president al-Assad visited the city's water cisterns dating back to the 4th century B.C. and listened to a brief explanation the history of the site and their use in storing waters.
The Syrian president was accompanied in his tour by Yemen's foreign minister Abu Bakr al-Qirbi head of the honorary team and the Syrian foreign minister Walid al-Mualim.
President al-Assad arrived in Yemen Saturday on official visit for two days. The Yemeni foreign minister said the Syrian president visit comes for discussing developments of the situations in Lebanon, Somalia, and Palestine.
President Ali Abdullah Saleh received President Assad at the Aden International airport where he was given an official reception. During his stay president as ad is to hold talks on issues of cooperation and means for developing and expanding aspects of brotherly cooperation in all fields.
The talks will also tackle efforts for enhancing the Arab solidarity to face the current challenges.
