Almotamar.net - SANAA- President Ali Abdullah Saleh leaves for the United Arab Emirates Tuesday on a two-day state in response to an invitation extended by the president of the UAR Sheikh Khalifa bi Zaid bin Sultan Al Nihayan.
Yemen's foreign minister Dr. Abu Bakr al-Qirbi said the talks at the Yemeni-Emirates summit is scheduled to discuss aspects of bilateral relations and consolidation of joint cooperation in economic, trade and investment areas and others.
The minister added the two sides are to discuss topics related to enhancing tracks of cooperation and partnership between Yemen and the GCC countries, which are witnessing steady growth especially following the Abu Dhabi GCC summit that approved Yemeni proposals regarding qualification of the Yemeni economy for incorporation into econ9omies of the GCC states.
In his statement to Al-Thawra newspaper Sunday the minister appreciated the role the UAE played in bringing to success the London donor conference on Yemen and its contribution through the pledge to offer $ half billion.
The FM also said the summit will also discuss the developments in the region and those Iraq, Palestine, Lebanon and the Horn of Africa.
