Almotamar.net - The 7tt meeting of the preparatory committee for the conference on exploration of investment opportunities in Yemen is to be held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia on Sunday.

The Middle East newspaper said today the meeting lasts for two days between the Gulf and the Yemeni sides to finalize arrangements for the conference. The meeting also discusses recommendations of the committee's previous meetings as well s the discussion of what the company organizing the conference has already done regarding the sponsors of the conference and the inauguration the electronic website and booklet of the conference.
The convening of the conference comes in harmony with a decision by the GCC's ministerial Council in its 89th session on holding the conference.
The two sides attach great importance to holding the conference to be under patronage of the Yemeni president Saleh and participation of the GCC secretary General in addition to senior GCC States' and Yemeni officials. The conference is also to be attended by specialists and businessmen from both sides.
Convening of the conference was postponed to the 8-10 April 2007 in order to prepare suitable circumstances and provide opportunity for participation of the largest numbers of those interested in investment in Yemen.
