Almotamar.net - President Ali ?Abdullah Saleh begins Tuesday a state visit to the United Arab Emirates state in response to invitation by president of the UAE Sheikh Khalifa bin Zaid bi Sultan Al Nihayan.
Yemen foreign minister Dr Abu Bakr al-Qirbi said the Saleh –Al Nihayan summit is to discuss aspects of bilateral relations and enhancement of cooperation in economic, trade and investment areas.
The foreign minister said the two sides are to discuss aspects related to enhance cooperation and partnership between Yemen and the GCC countries. He appreciated the active role played by the UAE in the London donor conference on Yemen and its contribution with of half billion dollars.
Dr al-Qirbi also indicated that the talks by of the two leaders will also tackle the currents developments in the region especially in Iraq, Palestine, Lebanon and the Horn of Africa
According to al-Thawra newspaper of Yemen the president will meet with representative of the UAE chambers of commerce and industry, businessmen and investors. The president will explain to them the measures Yemen has taken to overcome any hindrances against the movement of investment and to affirm giving the UAE investments more privileges guaranteeing their rights and success of their investments.
