Almotamar.net - General secretariat of the General People's Congress (GPC) held Sunday its ordinary meeting chaired by assistant secretary general Sadiq Amin Abu Ras. The meeting has approved formation of a committee to draft report of the secretary general to be presented at the main permanent committee.

The general secretariat sanctioned a number of activities accompanying meting of the permanent committee on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of founding the GPC on 24 August 1962 whose foundation represented a turning-point in the political life in Yemen. With its foundation the political life formed allover Yemen and managed to practice its political role and activity in its frame.

The general secretariat acquainted itself with measures taken for tackling issues of the retired and different issues in governorates in general and progress of committees work.

The general secretariat expressed its regret of attempts by some to deviate rights demand and trial of politicizing them as well as offending the national unity and security and stability of the society. It called on concerned authorities to perform their role in protecting the society and general order.
The general secretariat also called on all political; forces and civil society organisations to state their clear stand regarding all that would offend the national constants and gains.
