almotamar-net - Speaker of Parliament Sheikh Abdullah bin Hussein al-Ahmar met here in Wednesday with the visiting Indonesian Chairman of Consultation Council Mohammed Hadait Noor Waheed .

During the meeting, they held talks over mutual relations, especially parliamentary cooperation between the two countries.

Al-Ahmar warmly welcomed the Indonesian delegation, highlighting deep historical Yemeni-Indonesian ties.

He also praised the Indonesian stances which stand in favor of the Palestinian issues and support Palestinians right to set up their
independent state.


Waheed considered his visit to Yemen a good chance to see Yemen's parliamentary experience which is considered as one of the successful
experiences inthe region.

He confirmed Indonesian firm stance towards Islamic and Arab world issues. Waheed invited al-Ahmar to visit Indonesia.
