Almotamar.net - President Ali Abdullah Saleh, the leader of the General People's Congress (GPC) on Saturday called on all Yemeni political forces for dialogue and absolute transparency and to present what useful solutions they have for the problem of prices away from tumultuous acts. That came in the president's address opening the second session of the GPC"s permanent committee held in Sana'a today.

The president has expressed readiness of the GPC government to handover leadership of the government to who is capable of just keeping stability of prices, welcoming at the same time of any solutions for dealing with the world rise of prices. The president touched on achievements of the GPC in 25 years in great changes and many great accomplishments at various political, economic, cultural and social levels.

The president said," It protected the republican system and achieved the Yemeni unity with partners in the socialist party and other parties." He added that "The GPC has led the process of construction and development and achieved a comprehensive developmental progress that every citizen has tangibly felt."

The president pointed out that the GPC is presently facing great changes and big tasks among them the economic concern saying" We have a big concern, we talk in the name of the people and it is unreasonable for any official in the state to hear the concern and moaning and ignore them," indicating that the GPC has shouldered the full responsibility because the people granted it the confidence.

With regard external issues the president addressed members of the permanent committee saying" We follow up the situations in Palestine and Yemen offered an initiative to which Hamas and Fatah responded but Fatah said after the coup in Gaza but we are in contact with them and talked to them in full transparency,"

He added "We follow up with the American government the question of Yemeni detainees in Guantanamo for the purpose of handing them over to Yemen and those whose condemnation is proved they will serve their punishment in Yemen. We have given directives to the government to follow up the matter with America,"

Concluding his address the president expressed, on behalf of members of the permanent committee, gratitude and appreciation fore the armed forces and security for the national efforts they exert for protection of general calmness and preparation of convenient atmospheres for Arab and foreign investments.
