Almotamar.net - General Secretariat of the National Democratic Front on Tuesday expressed its regret and denunciation of what was mentioned in statement of the Yemen Socialist Party (YSP)'s Central Committee.
The front said in its statement that the statement of the YSP central committee contradicted the national constants and the unionist pursuit of the party and would surely serve plans of the forces which target the homeland's unity, security, stability and social and economic development.
The front's statement considered what was included in the YSP statement discloses intentions and desires of the party's group inside its leadership for resuming the secessionist scheme which it failed to achieve by the war in 1994.
The front's statement pointed out that demands of sons of the south mentioned in the statement of the YSP were not realistic and exaggerated, affirming that demands of the sons of the 22nd of May1990 are one and there are no special demands and they are demands of rights rather than political. It said the attempt by leaders of the YSP is political investment for secessionist purposes harming the interest of the homeland and the party.
The general secretariat of the front called on all the YSP organisations to stand up to all attempts from inside and outside the party aiming at dismembering the party and the homeland.
The front called on the people and all the national forces to join their ranks and intensify struggle for preserving the national unity and enhancement of security and stability in addition to strengthening the democratic pluralist approach and to raise the comprehensive economic and social development towards a democratic prosperous Yemen.
