Almotamar.net, Saba - President Ali Abdullah Saleh is to pay an official visit to Spain January 28-30, the state-run 26sep.net reported on Thursday.
Minister of Foreign Affaires Abu Bakr al-Qirbi was quoted as saying that the three-day visit comes in respone to an invitation from the Spain's king Juan Carlos, and aims at promoting trade exchange, establishing joint projects and receiving more development aid, with focus on benefiting from the experience of Spain in economic and tourist attraction and promotion areas.
It is expected that President Saleh's talks with the Spanish king would focus on the latest developments in the Middle East region.
Spain is one of Europe's most powerful economies with national income estimated at $ 970 billion.
It has common heritage with the Islamic world particularly the Andalusia city where many Islamic antiques are there to be one of the most important income resources.
Spain opened its embassy in Yemen and Yemen nominated an ambassador to Madrid in 2006.
