Almotamar.net - The parliament decided on Sunday continuation of the committee specialised in accounts of the Yemeni Economic Establishment (YEE) and that is on the wake of a controversy caused by withdrawal of the chairmen of the trade and defence committees from them and replaced by two members from the same committees.
In the same context the head of the General People's Congress (GPC) parliamentary bloc Sultan al-Barakani responded to members from the opposition that indicated an attempt to thwart it saying," Accounts of the YEE are open and latest of which were approved by the parliament, especially those of the year 2005," affirming that the establishment is a public property of the people and it is not the property of the president of the republic or its head.
He added that let other members added to the special committee, even ten members from the opposition, and let is be chaired by MP Sakhr al-Wajieh because of clarity of the establishment's accounts and its role in the national economy and said "if it were corrupt let it go to hell!"
In response to request presented by head of the Nasserite Organisation's parliamentary bloc Sultan al-Atwani on vacating seats of the two MPs Faisal Aburas and Ahmed al-Kuhlani al-Barakani said, " The Joint Meeting Parties (JMP) should have committed itself to the agreement of principles signed with the GPC regarding the supreme commission for elections that is concerned with presenting vacation of those seats and holding election for the vacant seats, " holding the JMP responsible for hindering formation of the commission.
