Almotamar.net - A security source has revealed Thursday the capture of six antiquity pieces in possession of three persons early today at one of the outlets of the capital Sana’a.
The source told almotamar.net that the personnel manning Sabaha checkpoint of a Sana’a outlet were able to seize three persons from Al-Mahweet, Sana’a and Taiz. The source pointed out that the three persons were caught and with them antiquity pieces including a manuscript book containing Islamic law, poetry, poems for the poet Abdullah Bin Allawi, three boxes, copper censer, a sword shield and a sword, all of them old antiques.
Information indicates that the accused have bought the antiquities from Beit al-Faqieh, Hudeida governorate and they tried to bring them to Old Sana’a city, as they said.
The source said the seized antiquities and the manuscripts were taken to the Antiquities Administration and handed over to the Administration of Antiquities while the accused persons were sent to the capital intelligence for finishing the procedures before sending them to antiquities prosecution in prte4paration of standing trial.
