Almotamar.net - Chairman of Progress and Advancement Forum (PAF) Yahya Mohammed Abdullah Saleh confirmed that violence against children a phenomenon all children in the world suffer especially after this type of violence has taken various forms threatening with its means a segment of children.
In his speech in opening activities of the PAF and the training workshop related to protection of children against violence on Sunday he said the violence on children imposes on all, a family, government, parties and civil, educational and media establishments to shoulder the responsibility seriously for facing this phenomenon.
Mr Saleh also called on political parties, parliament and shoura council to deal positively with all activities and calls aimed at protection of children from violence and to issue legislations and laws deterring all those deviant ways.
On her part the Minister of Social Affairs and Labour Dr Amat al-Razzaq Humad pointed out ht e importance dealing with the children who are victims of violence through their rehabilitation socially and psychologically and providing them with more family care as well as stabilizing the values of kindness and mercy among children.
She has demanded for enacting and activation of laws that prohibit violence against children and protect their rights and safeguard their dignity.
