almotamar.net - The Yemeni national Establishment for Combating Cancer and the National Centre for Tumors and the Gulf Federation on Fighting Cancer are to organize the 4th Gulf Scientific Conference that Yemen is to host on the period 16-18 February 2009 under the motto of “Head and Neck Cancer”.
Director General of the Establishment Ali Al-Khawlani elucidated that the conference is the first of its kind in Yemen and it will be attended by an elite group of researchers and physicians the number of who is more than 450 participants from various courtiers of the Gulf Cooperation Council GCC states . Arab countries, America, Canada and Europe.
He pointed out there will be a number of research and studies to be discussed by participants in the conference in addition to recent scientific developments and diagnostic and treatment matters related to head and neck cancer. He added the conference aims to draw up a scientific strategy on controlling head and neck cancer in the Arab Gulf region and in Yemen that suffers from spread of cancerous tumors in a fearful manner. The conference also aims at deepening bonds of health cooperation between the Establishment, the Gulf Federation and Arab and international organisations in the way reflected on the efforts for combating cancerous diseases.
