Almotamar.net - The Yemeni Specialised Criminal Primary Court on Monday sentenced to death and imprisonment for three patrons accused of conducting contacts for Israel and publishing news disturbing public security in addition to forgery and fraud.
The verdict issued at Monday session of the court held under chairmanship of Judge Muhsin Alwan included the condemnation of death for the first defendant Basam Abdullah Fadl al-Haidary and to return the car he was using or to pay it price in addition to paying costs estimated at YR 400 thousand.
The court sentenced the third defendant Ali Abdullah Saleh Mahfal to 5 years in jail and gave the second defendant Imad Ali Saad al-Raimy three years imprisonment.
The prosecution had accused the first defendant Basam Abdullah Fadl Mohammed al-Haidary, 26, of conducting illegal contacts with a foreign country when took the initiative to serve it and sent an email to Israel’s prime minister including readiness of Al-Jihad Al-Islami organization to anything and received a reply from the Israeli premier declaring his readiness to support them to be a tumbling stone in the Middle East and to support them for anything that would harm the republic (of Yemen) political and diplomatic position.
Accusations against the first, second and third defendants included publishing and broadcasting false news and statements offering in the name of Al-Jihad Al-Islami organisation and informing others on it and its acts via wireless and cable means and internet websites of some countries and embassies and satellite channels ; local, Arab and foreign. That included information on the organisation carrying out explosions in the capital and the governorates of Hadrmout and Seyoun and that they target government and foreign interests , though they know they are incorrect but they intended to confuse the public security and creation of panic among the people and inflicting damage on public interest.
