Almotamar.net - A renewal of the protocol of cooperation was signed in Sana’a Wednesday between the General People’s Congress GPC ruling party and the Chinese Communist party. The signing ceremony was attended by a number of the two parties officials.
During the protocol signing ceremony, member of the General Committee of the GPC, the head of the Political Office Abdullah Ahmed Ghanim has expressed his looking forward to develop the relations between the two parties. He has valued the role of the Chinese Communist party for what it offers of training and qualification opportunities for cadres and leaderships of the GPC, pointing out the benefit of the GPC from experiments of the Chinese Communist party in many areas.
Ghanim also reviewed to the visiting Chinese Communist party delegation a brief account on the GPC, thanking readiness of the Chinese people to develop relations between the two parties and pointing out that the good spirit entertained by the Chinese partisan delegation would result into more rapprochement.
For his part the Deputy Minister for External Relations of the Chinese Communist party Central Committee reviewed tracks of development of relations between the two parties and countries and remaining of these relations escalating over time. He also indicated to what the relations have witnessed during the latest years of progress in political, economic, educational and health fields and said what distinguishes the two parties is their commitments to principles of independence and non-interference in internal affairs of others. He considered the signing of renewing cooperation protocol as one of the most important stages of developing relations between the two parties.
The Chinese official presented proposals for developing relations between the two parties, inviting leaderships of the GPC to visit China during the second half of this year. The Chinese official has shown readiness of his party sharing the good of building industrial zones with officials at the GPC and presenting a number of lectures on the Chinese experiment in building industrial zones in the way serving economic growth in Yemen. He also stressed the necessity of coordinating and exchanging opinions and stances regarding regional issues and announced his party’s offering of 20 computer sets as a token present for developing work of the GPC.
A session of talks between the two parties was held and attended for the GPC side by Tareq al-Shamy, head of the information office, Fatma al-Khatri, head of the woman office, Salem Mohammed Salman, deputy head of external relations office, Najib al-Siyaghi, deputy head of political office, Fawzi al-Sirri, director of assistant secretary general office and Ahmed al-Midhwahi, head of the department of political parties and organisations.
For the Chinese side the talks were attended by deputy general director of West Asia and North Africa Administration, head of the Middle East department at the Administration, the third secretary of for the department of North Africa and the third secretary at the department.
