Almotamar.net - Leadership of the local authority in Abyan governorate has said Saturday the security campaign has resulted in the capture of ten people wanted for the security and the slight injury of five security men.
Local sources and eyewitnesses have earlier mentioned to the almotamar.net they have seen security forces arresting five of the terrorist elements who carry out sabotage and destabilization of security in the city and its outskirts. They affirmed they have recognised Mohammed Hussein Ali A’tif who is one of the wanted elements from the hard line groups.
The governor of Abyan Ahmed al-Maysari said the campaign of the security in the city of Jar and targeted hideouts of terrorist elements resulted in capturing ten security wanted persons and caused slight injury to five security men during the storming of the hideouts of that sabotage group.
Saba news agency quoted al-Maysari as saying the campaign has come according to a security plan for hunting down and arrest of a number of persons accused of committing crimes of murder, blasting government headquarters and installations and targeting checkpoints alongside with committing crimes of robbing and highway robberies and destabilization of security and stability of Yemen. He affirmed the campaign would continue until the achievement of the set goals.
On its par the Interior Ministry said the security campaign against hideouts of the security wanted persons in the city of Jaar, governorate of Abyan is also carried out by forces from the central security and emergency police and general security.
Security Information Centre mentioned that the campaign was accurately planned and the wanted are accused of perpetrating dangerous crimes including destabilization of security and stability in the governorate as well as crimes of sabotage against government buildings and installations in addition to targeting checkpoints and highway robbery.
