By: Mohammed al-Haidari - SANA'A- Minister of Civil Service, Hamoud al-Sufi, announced Saturday there are 14,000 new vacant posts in various public sectors throughout the governorates.
In a telephone conversation with almotamar.net, al-Sufi said the Ministry of Civil Service is currently carrying out the comparison process for applicants according to fair rules set by the Cabinet, indicating the results will be announced officially by the end of next month.
According to al-Sufi, the employment budget is carried out via professional criteria based on transparency and equality of opportunities, where an applicant can be informed of his or others' employment accounts and can object to any violations made against him.
The Ministry of Civil Service had taken strict measures against its administrative officials in various governorates and referred them the general prosecution after discovering 300 false vacancies last year. The Ministry also returned such vacancies to merited applicants.
This came at a time when the opposition parties accuse the government of distributing public vacancies on unfair principles. Observers see that such claims repeated by opposition leaders fall under political, non-objective exaggerations.
The Ministry, moreover, is carrying out extensive administrative reforms at the level of public sectors in cooperation with a number of donating countries, according to the Yemeni administrative and economic reform.
