Almotamar.net - The ruling General People's Congress Party in Yemen GPC , Abyan branch on, Friday condemned strongly the acts of killing and sabotage and attacks perpetrated by saboteurs violating the law and order led by a Tareq al-Fadli . The acts targeted premises of the local authority, security men and citizens in the city of Zunjibar.
A statement issued by the GPC, Abyan branch has held al-Fadli fully responsible for criminal carnage committed by elements following him in the city that resulted in claiming the lives of 8 citizens and injury in 18 others, among them 6 of security men.
The statement described what happened as an outrageous crime and dangerous precedence, mentioning that the massacre committee by outlaw elements following al-Fadli and an expression of secessionist plots of those elements and their supporters abroad. Their goal is to destabilize security and c carrying out the schemes against Yemen's unity, security and stability. The statement added that the aim is to turn back the wheel of history to before the unity on 22 May 1990. This is confirmed by acts of those elements and statements and allegations of al-Fadli.
The statement said the GPC has previously warned from plots of those elements and remnants of the former totalitarian regime through provoking seditions not just in Abyan governorate but rather in other provinces.
Meanwhile, the GPC denounced the stand of the Joint Meeting Parties JMP in the governorate that rushed to support those criminal acts by outlaw elements, considering the statement by the JMP in Abyan on the events as an attempt to deceive the public opinion with wring and false information. The GPC statement said the JMP stand supporting those acts that were aimed at citizens, security men and government compounds was participation in the crime. It added that the stand of the JPM confirms a fact that these parties have reached an unprecedented phase of violating the constitution texts by supporting and encouraging openly of all the criminal events and acts of killing and sabotage, whether in Abyan province or other provinces.
