By:almotamar.net - SANA'A- The Supreme Commission for Elections and Referendum (SCER) launched Wednesday the Information Center for presidential and local elections scheduled on 20 September.
Abdu al-Janadi, head of SCER information sector, said the SCER has equipped the center with all required needs that enable it to fulfill its role in covering election-related news, providing media (both local and foreign) representatives with information regarding the process of election in a transparent way.
Al-Janadi affirmed the center, which belongs to the SCER, will provide journalist with all information they need, not only information related to the election process, but also the development of democracy experience in Yemen since the first parliamentary elections held on a multi-party basis in 1993.
According to al-Janadi, the SCER has also invited various Arab and international media to participate in the September elections coverage, and document election activities and functions which the SCER practices in directing the election process.
