Almotamar.net - Yemen Vice President Abid Rabeh Mansour Hadi received Wednesday the visiting delegation of the General Union of Arab Students (GUAS) led by its Secretary General Nidhal Ammar. The meeting discussed the national situations in their different political, economic and security aspects.
The Vice President has affirmed that Yemen is today much better than it was in the past, particularly the past of the division, the past of before 22 May 1990.
He has reviewed a group of issues related to the democratic approach and political plurality and their impact at the social, cultural and economic levels.
The Vice President pointed out that 70% of the Yemen population is from the segment of the youth with what that demands of requisites in the field of work and employment of educational outputs, qualification and workforce.
He affirmed that the Yemeni people keep their unity and they have consolidated and defended it against all the challenges since its achievement on 22 May 1990, confirming that the essential problem is economic.
Had also praised the unitary stands of the GUAS.
For his part the secretary general of the GUAS affirmed the Union’s solidarity with Yemen against all forms of sabotage and terror.
He said that the GUAS considers Yemen with its unity, security and stability as safety valve of the entire Arab nation, stressing that the GUAS considers the Yemeni unity as the most important Arab accomplishment in the 20th century.
In the meeting the GUAS Secretary General conveyed a letter from the union addressed to President Ali Abdullah Saleh expressing its support and solidarity with the President’s stands towards all challenges threatening Yen’s security, unity ad stability.
