Almotamar.net - Assistant Secretary General for Information Sector at the ruling General People’s Conference (GPC) party in Yemen Dr Ahmed Ubeid Bin Daghr has on Tuesday renewed Yemen’s leadership, government and people stand supporting and backing up struggle of the Palestinian people for the restoration of their rights and the establishment of their Palestinian state and its capital Al-Quds.

Dr Bin Daghr has also emphasized Yemen’s firm stand regarding the Palestinian issue, pointing out that the GPC considers the Palestinian issue is that of the entire Arabs. He added that the GPC and its political leadership were and would continue to confirm this stand at different foreign and local forums.

In his meeting in Sana’a on Tuesday Dr Mahir al-Tahir, member of the politburo and representative of the People’s Front for Palestine Liberation and his accompanying delegation, Dr Bin Daghr stressed the necessity of the Palestinian unity as it is considered the sole way for reaching the aspired goal of the Palestinian people for obtaining their rights and establishment of their Palestinian state.

For his part Dr Mahir al-Tahir confirmed that Yemen unity is sacred and cannot be tampered with, saying that any problems occur in Yemen must be solved within the frame of the Yemeni unity, pointing out there is no state without economic, social or others. He said Yemen is an important country with regard to its area, population, geography and history. He also indicated to foreign interference and forces which do not want Yemen as united and strong so that it would not support the Palestinian issue.

He expressed support of the Palestinian people and his front for Yemen and its unity, and stability and their rejection of any attempts to harm the Yemeni unity, saying “the Yemeni unity was achieved under the rifts and divisions the world and the Arab region were passing through and it is an accomplishment that must be preserved. “He said the strong and united Yemen can play a major role in the fate of the Palestinian issue. He said, “We feel proud and feel affiliation towards the Yemeni people and the Yemeni leadership represented by President Ali “Abdullah Saleh and his sincere and real stands towards the Palestinian issue.”

Dr al-Tahir also presented a detailed explanation on developments of the situations in the Palestinian arena and reviewed the dangers experienced by the Palestinian issue particularly the circumstances resulting from the blockade imposed on Gaza and the violations in Al-Quds by the Israeli occupation.
