Almotamar.net, Saba - President Ali Abdullah Saleh welcomed on Sunday the investments in Yemen in various fields, stressing that they would enjoy all care and attention.
This came during his inspection visit to Bin Sina Hospital in Mukala city, in Hadramout province, where he got acquainted with the progress in the rehabilitation and expansion of the hospital according to his previous directives on allocating YR 1 billion for modernizing and equipping the hospital with the best advanced techniques.
The current capacity of the hospital is 300 beds, while it reaches 400 beds after rehabilitation to include all specialized sectors.
In addition to, President Saleh was briefed on some buildings that are built and attached to the hospital, including a haemodialysis building which will be opened soon.
President Saleh praised the level of implementation in the restoration and new constructions and urged the concerned authorities to expedite the completion and equipping the hospital to provide its services for the people.
Moreover, President Saleh toured the sections of Hypar al-Mustahalek (Consumer's Mall) for foodstuffs in Mukala Mall, which costs USD 70 million with 450 workers for operating it.
He expressed his admiration for what he saw inside the mall, commending the role of such projects in absorbing labor and creating new jobs in the different fields as well as their role in marketing the Yemeni products.
During his inspection tour in the city of Mukala, the President also visited the central power station in al-Rayyan, where he was briefed on the station's capacity and its development plan during the coming period as well as the possibility of private sector contribution to provide Mukala with the necessary electoral energy.
In this regard, Saleh welcomed the investments in the field of electricity and instructed the competent authorities to find out mechanisms for cooperation with the private sector to ensure the necessary electrical power.
