Almotamar.net - Sana’a- The ruling General People’s Congress (GPC) Party in Yemen has on Friday supported what came in the speech of President Ali Abdullah Saleh , Chairman of the GPC, delivered on Thursday of a call on all of the political forces for holding comprehensive national dialogue to be based on the ground of the Gulf initiative for coming out of the crisis and adopts its main principles in preserving Yemen united , secure and stable where the higher interests of the homeland are to be observed and through it achieved the purposes and goals to which the Yemeni people look for and draws up features of the future.
In a massive rally held in Al-Sabeen Square in Sana’a on Friday, Dr Ahmed Ubeid bin Daghr said, “We are with you Mr President while you are calling this nation for cohesion and adhesion in these hard times and with you Mr President as you call on all political forces to deep thinking about causes of the crisis and resorting to reason and consider what the states of the nation have reached.”
Speaking on behalf of the millions gathering in the rally Bin Daghr addressed the President by saying ,” You were always present with us and our hearts and minds were with you, the homeland and the people were always in need of your wise reason , deep experience and sound opinion especially that the crisis has reached its apex and its impact appeared in all walks of our life due to the desire of some to reach power without passing by ballot boxes ; the free and normal way for change and expression of the national will.”
Dr Bin Daghr described the speech of the President as a direction to the nation in steering its affair.
In his speech Bin Daghr indicated that the entire homeland thanked God and for survival of the President and he said that the enemies of security, safety and peace wanted to inflict pain on the homeland and the citizens and its wise leader but God aborted their scheme.
The leading member of the GPC has also thanked the King of Saudi Arabia Abdullah bin Abdulaziz, his Crown Prince and all the officials in the Kingdom who rendered care and attention for the President and thanked all who stood with Yemen in this crisis and the main thanking is for the Yemeni people.
