Almotamar.En - Sana'a – The reduction of monthly subscription fees for the internet (ADSL) to 50% considered as a great decision. The decision of the reduction of (ADSL ) has been considered as achievement calculated to Dr Ahmmed Obeid Bin Dagher , Minister of Communication and Information Technology (MCIT).
''The decision to reduce the ADSL to50% is bold decision we already asked repeatedly over years , but not a chivied '' engineer Yasser Al-Athori said .He added the reduction no doubt will serve the both homeland and the citizen . Therefore . a large number of people from different classes in society can use internet widely , even those who related to the low-income class . stressing to the positive impact on the lives of both citizens and country economically.
On other hand, activist in the internet , engineer Zakaria Al-Kinaay said '' this is the only decision right taken by the Public Telecommunication Company (PTC)which have been waiting for it long years ago. We hope the internet service of wireless of ( wi-max)to be launched soon.
Another activist , Ahmmed abdullwali . said such decision reflects real integrity of officials in the internet in Yemen and to be easily available for all . He added '' in fact the reduction of ADSL comes as result of great efforts done by Ministry of communication and Informational technology since Dr Bin Dagher appointed as Minister who currently responsible to let internet used widely, therefore , Dr Ahmmed Bin Dagher bought serious steps including reducing the subscription fees in internet services after he took the office a few weeks ago.
Recently Yemen net Co a knowledged of higher directions to reduce the home internet service fees to 50% for all categories . Such step no doubt will increase the users of internet in Yemen, consequently the internet sector and its applications will be spread widely in everyday life in Yemen.
