Almotamar.En - Sana’a – In workshop held on Sunday to discuss the work plan of 2013 for Public Telecommunication Company (PTC) in Yemen , Dr Ahmmed Obeid Bin Dagher ,the Minister of Telecoomunication and Information Technology (MTIT) , confirmed that the internatnet speed will be increased to 30-40 GB during this year 2013.
In his word in the workshop , Dr Bin Dagher mentioned that there are sevral projects will be achieved in the telecommunication sector for this year 2013 , including the expansion coverage of Yemen Mobile network, enhance of internet service projects for both (WIMAX) and ( ADSL), and increasing the internet speeds between 30-40 GB , as well as improving the evaluation of the landline telephone service and the development of International Secrevice ‘’Teleyemen’’ .
Disussing the problems and obsticales took place in the previous year 2012, Dr Bin Dagher pointed out ,‘’ Ministery of Finance has been consodered as the main obsticale againest our minsietry’s inspiration of achiveing a great projects in telecommuncation sector,This is simplely due to the centeralization through which the telectmmuvtaion projects supervised by the Misnsyery of Finance , considering the crisis which happened in 2012 , is basically the crisis of essissive cenetralization of the state ‘’
The minsiter Dr Bin Dagher , called for re-evaluation of business and achievements in the last year, taking in account that the dicussion should go ahead to (PTC) restructuring project which will transfer the company into adavinced level of profisonacy.performce of several services that can be available in the telecommunication sector.
For his part,the PTC General Manger , engineer Sadeq Musleh said that the company has made reasonable achievments in previous year 2012 comared to 2011 but not satisfied as we willing to achiveve in this field.
Musleh pointed out that decline in landline phone service comparing to the increasing demands for internet services, Engneer Musleh added that PTC has already taken the advantegs of the last workshop which held in Seotember 2011 ,concerning to maintaince and customer services.
