Almotamar.net - Minister of Foreign Affairs Eng. Hisham Sharaf and Minister of Agriculture Ghazi Al-Ahwal met on Tuesday with the Resident Representative of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) in Sana'a Dr. Salah El Hajj.

The meeting reviewed aspects of cooperation between Yemen and FAO, especially with regard to the food security situation in Yemen.

The Resident Representative handed over the report of the integrated interim classification of food security in Yemen, which talks about the interventions of the next phase that focus on the importance of complementarity between humanitarian interventions and the promotion of sustainable income sources.

The FAO Resident Representative emphasized the focus on efforts in the next phase, especially in the most affected areas, which need doubling efforts at the current stage so as to reduce the deterioration of the situation at them.

Minister of Foreign Affairs expressed that the Government of National Salvation is keen to support FAO Office with all facilities to facilitate its work and ensure its success performance in Yemen.
