By: Aidarous Nouraji - ADEN - Abdul-Hakim Al-Imad, Director General of Zakat Duties Department in Aden province, expected a rise in the zakat to be collected in Aden this year.
Al-Imad said that the total amount of zakat collected during January-September 2006 is estimated at 245 million riyals while the zakat collected in 205 in Aden province reached 285 million riyals.
It is noteworthy that the Zakat Duties Department in Aden province is regular in zakat collection and is in the lead in terms of the amount collected according to the annual statistics issued by the Zakat Duties Authority.
