A well- informed source in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said that these developments are sorrowful, especially as they came after an agreement sponsored by Yemen in Aden city between the warring Somali factions.

According to the agreement, the Islamic Courts have adhered to stopping any actions that might lead to military confrontations with the government,
and enacting treaties and dialogue with the government that also announced its willingness to return to talks table.

In a statement to Saba, the source called for immediate cease-fire, asking the two factions to stick to the signed agreement and to return to negotiations.

The source confirmed Yemen's Keenness to realize peace in all Somali areas.
