almotamar.net - SANAA-Vice-chairman of the Yemeni Football Federation Sheikh Hussein bin Nasser al-Sharif expressed his satisfaction over his country's soccer team performance in the Gulf 18, considering the general standard as being distinguished despite that the team did not score victory in its games with Kuwait and the Emirates.

Al-Sharif said he was pleased for that performance as the Yemeni team played with experienced teams and it was among the best teams in the championship.

Al-Khaleej Sport has quoted Sheikh bin Nasser as saying the Yemeni team played without pressures put on it by the Football Federation and the players were instructed to appear in the honorable way because all know the capabilities of the team.
Sheikh bin Nasser has made it clear that yemen is serious about its request to organize the 20th Championship of the Gulf Cup and it has all confidence in the capability of organizing it revealing that he will tender an official request in the meeting of heads of the participant federations.
