almotamar.net - SANAA-Head of the political office at the General People's Congress (GPC) Taiq al-Shami confirms the seriousness of the GPC for dialogue with all political forces to come out wit a future national formula serving the country's interest.

Al-Shami said ' We in the GPC are serious and have what we can put on the dialogue table especially pertaining enhancement of democracy and public freedoms and the projects that have been made ready before, such as election of the Shoura Council members, the governors and heads of districts," affirming that the opportunity is available and there are the suitable will and climate far from tension and atmospheres of elections or any bickering among the political forces.

He said the GPC has extended an invitation to all the political forces for holding the dialogue and has entrusted that with its secretary general.
In response to the opposition reply on not receiving an invitation al-Shami said this call is renewal of previous invitations, that there has been an agreement with the opposition, specifically the JMP on maintaining dialogue after the presidential and local elections to discuss the rest of issues that concern the homeland and " we have extended invitations to dialogue to set aside the stage of elections and turn the chapter of the past as well as to open a new chapter."

Mr. al-Shami expressed his hope that all would respond to this call and to work for finding a frame for dialogue among parties of the political system so that all will bear their historical responsibility.
