almotamar.net - The general secretariat of the General People�s Congress has Tuesday mourned the great Yemeni artist and director Farid al-Dhahiri who died on Tuesday early morning of a heat attack in the governorate of Ibb.

In a morning statement published on a; motamar.net the GPC general secretariat mentioned that the late artist will be always in Yemen�s memory through his works that have been connected to singing for the unity that is considered as the greatest accomplishment for all the Yemenis through producing the best singing works on festivities of the unity especially the one demonstrated on the 10th Day of the unity. Artist al-Dhahiri died while directing his work prepared for marking the celebration of the 19th Yemeni Unity National Day.

The artist Farid Hussein al-Dhahiri was born in 1957 in al-Dhahira, Al-Dhalie governorate and completed his academic study at the Culture Institute in Ukraine. He obtained his Masters Degree in Cultural and Educational Culture with specialty of drama direction.
