The new general committee of the General People's Congress (GPC) held its first meeting on Tuesday headed by President Ali Abdullah Saleh.
At the banging of the meeting, Saleh congratulated the committee on the success of the 1st round of GPC's 7th assembly.

He praised good preparations and the democratic discussions in the round, as well as the positive outcomes and recommendations that embodied the political function.

The final declaration issued by the 7th assembly reflected the people hopes and aspirations in areas of development, democracy and reforms
in different terms, Saleh said
