Almotamar.net - The Lebanese president Emil Lahud praised Tuesday the stand of President Ali Abdullah Saleh of Yemen in supporting Lebanon and his keenness on its safety, security and stability, reminding Yemen's stances in facing the Zionist aggression in the summer of last year.

President Lahud's remarks came during his meeting with the envoy of president Saleh, the member of Yemeni Shoura Council Abdulmalik al-Mikhlafi who conveyed a verbal message related to the events of Nahr Al-Bared Camp.

In his message president Saleh expressed his anxiety and concern in the ongoing developments in Lebanon as a result of the events in Al-Bared Camp. The Yemeni president reiterated his keenness on safety of Lebanon and its stability and unity and his stress on ending the crisis and confirmation of the state prestige and its right to face aspects of violating security and phenomena of terror. At the same time president Saleh affirmed his keenness on safety of the Lebanese and Palestinians and to keep the Palestinians living in the camp away from human suffering.

It is worth mentioning that the president's initiative of holding contacts with the Lebanese and Palestinian leaderships on the events in Nahr al-Bared has been received with large satisfaction among the political and information circles in Lebanon.
