almotamar.net - Security source disclosed Saturday that Immigration and Passports Authority presently detains around 300 Somalis in public prisons over their illegal infiltration into the Yemeni territories.
The source told almotamar.net among the Somali detainees there are 9 persons the Yemeni authorities accuse them of committing crimes such as attempts to smuggle drugs across Yemeni borders to neighbouring countries, murder crimes or attempted murders besides charges of infiltration.
According to the source those detained Somalis were seized by Yemeni Immigration and Passport authorities during a campaign they carried out beginning of last month aimed at illegal residents inside Yemen. The source added that Immigration authorities are presently taking measures to deport 201 Somalis during this week and will send 9 other Somalis to court to stand trial for crimes they committed.
