All of them work at the Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) project at Balhaf area of Shabwa governorate.

The source told almotamar.net the Thai engineer, 41 died immediately and two other Thais were seriously injured when a steel rod fell from above a tank under construction at the LNG project at Bir Ali area, the district of Redhoum.

He indicated that the engineer and the two technicians wok for the Korean company KOGAS and investigations were conducted to know causes of the incident.

The LNG project is one of the gigantic projects implemented in Yemen at a cost estimated at $3.7 billion. Thirty-five world companies participate in building it and they began work on the project in 2005. The project employs about 4 thousand Yemeni workers and supposed to be inaugurated in 2009.
