Almotamar Net - A legal report has mentioned that the Yemeni government is encountering extremely complicated difficulties as a result of continued increase in influx of Somali refugees into its territories. It has added that this situation puts additional burdens on Yemen besides its economic problems. It indicated the increased influx of Somalis fleeing conflict in their country has begun threatening of a human disaster in Yemen. It has added that this situation puts additional burdens on Yemen besides its economic problems. It indicated the increased influx of Somalis fleeing conflict in their country has begun threatening of a human disaster in Yemen.

The lately issued report by the Yemeni ministry of human rights, almotamar.net received a copy of it, demanded the government to intensify the measures of coordination with donor countries, concerned international parties and the UNHCR to create urgent solutions for the problem of migrants through erection of camps for the Somali migrants on the Yemeni Somali borders and providing food supplies for all migrants.

This comes at the time the UNHCR urged the donor countries to offer $48 million to the people fleeing fighting in Somalia amidst fears of continuation of the crisis of the Somali refugees for a period no less than 18 months.

The UNHCR office had estimated increase the number of Somali refugees receiving assistance from the UNHCR from 3212 thousand persons to 478 thousand by the end of 2008, expecting increase in the number of refugees in east African countries or those crossed the Red Sea to Yemen since the beginning of this year from 62 thousand to 78 by the end of 2008.

According to the report the African migration to Yemen imposed n the country to bear additional economic burden it does not need.
