Almotamar Net - Chairwoman of the Board of Directors of the National Authority for Health in the State of Qatar Sheikha Ghalia Bint Mohammed Al Thani and her accompanying delegation left Sanaa Tuesday. During her stay in Sanaa Sheikha Ghalia held talks with Yemeni officials on areas of cooperation between the two countries, the mail area of which was the health field between Yemen and the state of Qatar. During her stay in Sana'a Sheikha Ghalia held talks with Yemeni officials on areas of cooperation between the two countries, the mail area of which was the health field between Yemen and the state of Qatar.

President Ali Abdullah Saleh received the Sheikha Dr Ghalia on Tuesday and she conveyed to the president greetings of the Emir of Qatar Sheikh Hamad Bin Khalifa Al Thani and his wishes for good health and steady progress and prosperity for the Yemeni people.

In the meeting the president got acquainted with results of her talks with Yemeni officials dealing with enhancement of areas of cooperation of the two countries in health field including cooperation in supplies, training, qualification and other technical aspects. The talks also dealt with Qatar's contribution to building Al-Saleh Medical city in Sana'a, operating Khalifa Hospital in Tubah as well as Al-Sadaqa Hospital and training and qualifying Yemeni medical cadres in Qatar.
The president asked Dr Ghalia Al Thani to convey his greetings to his brother Sheikh Khalifa Bin Hamad Al Thani and his wishes for good health and ever progress and prosperity for the Qatari people.

An official at then Yemeni health ministry considered the visit as successful, adding that the Qatari government offered a grant of $200 million to Yemen to build Al-Saleh Hospital in Sana'a in addition to rehabilitation and repairing Khalifa Hospital in Taiz governorate. The source indicated the prominent role the visit played in discussion of strengthening aspects of cooperation in health care and control of diseases.

The Qatari visiting delegation had earlier on Tuesday visited Al-Thawra Hospital and saw health services the hospital offers at different departments of the hospital. The delegation also held talks with director of the hospital and heads of its departments centred on possibility of exchange of medical expertise.
