Almotamar.net - Senior government official, asked not to be identified, said Sunday that President Ali Abdullah Saleh has directed the minister of public health and population to speed up measures for purchasing medicines of kidney patients in Yemen directly from the Swiss manufacturing company Roche to meet demands of kidney patients in Yemen.

The government official told alotamar.net the presidential directive comes as a solution to one of the problems the health ministry is facing fro providing a certain cure for kidney patients which the ministry was intending to replace it by another product with specifications the ministry says they are the same and with les price.

The source considered the presidential directives as have given the ministry the right to buy medicines of kidney patients directly from the Swiss company and that measure would spare much effort and time and break the monopoly.

A number of kidney patients visiting Al-Thawra Hosp [ital have today expressed their gratitude for the president and for his continuous stances of helping the patients in Yemen.
