The culture minister said the number of moved manuscripts amounted to 3000 on various branches of science and arts and the books amounted to 4000.

Dr al-Maflahi pointed out that transferring the manuscripts and books was carried out according to scientific and technical ways usually followed in such processes and places have been allotted for the display of the manuscripts. He also praised the efforts of the Social Fund for Development for the preservation of the heritage.

Contents of the endowments will also be moved to the western library in the Grand Mosque because of the damage caused as a result of the building added to the mosque where works of repairs are being carried out by Yemeni and foreign exerts.
