Berlin, President, Ali Abdulla Saleh, stressed on the right of all Arab and Islamic states to possess peaceful nuclear energy and the need for the Middle East, including Israel, to be free from nuclear arms.
These remarks came during a meeting with German Foreign Minister, Frank-Walter Steinmeier, in Berlin today, during which they also reviewed Iranian nuclear file, the situation in Iraq and Palestine and peace developments in the region in addition to war on terror. The President underlined the importance of the role Germany could play to ensure a just and peaceful settlement in the Middle East. For his part, the German Minister, hailed the strength of bilateral relations and thanked the Yemeni government for its valuable efforts that ensured the liberation of the German hostages recently, affirming that the German government didn't take any measures to stop German tourists from traveling to Yemen.
