almotamar.net - A number of civil society organisations confirmed their support and blessing for the national orientations included in the president's initiative aimed at modernizing the political system and strengthening its foundations so that the people would entertain the existence of national and solid establishments. They called on all political forces and parties to conduct dialogue on it as it represents a forward step in the democratic process and achievement of reforms.
The NGOs expressed in a mass festival held Tuesday in Sana'a their support for the president of the republic's initiative on the constitutional amendments to develop the political and democratic system in Yemen and to move from the local authority to local rule, enhancement of the woman participation in the political life via allocation of 15% quota of the parliament seats. A number of the Yemeni NGO's then organised a march inside the capital in support of the initiative.
The speeches delivered in the festival affirmed that the president's initiative necessitates from the masses of the people and their national leaderships and all political parties and organisations and the NGO's to grasp this initiative and enrich it with dialogue and discussion in response to the voice of reason and wisdom which the president took the initiative in calling for a responsible national dialogue. They indicate that the initiative comes out of feelings and aspirations of the great majority of the people of Yemen who voted for the platform f the president of the republic.
